India joined the Hague Apostille Convention with effect from July 14, 2005, according to the Hague Conference's official status table. Canada's own accession is far more recent, in force only since January 11, 2024, so the Ontario side of this process is new, but a Canadian Apostille for a document headed to India has been fully recognized by Indian authorities for close to two decades.
